Frequently Asked Questions

If you don't see your question answered here, please give us a call!

Do I need an appointment?

No, during business hours we will accept drop offs without an appointment. If you are coming from out of town, especially on Saturday, please call ahead to make sure we will be there to help you as sometimes staffing requires unexpected closures.

What do I need to bring when dropping off an animal?

We require half-down for a deposit, along with your personal information and applicable tag/license information. If you use e-tagging, please be ready to show your tag information on your phone.

If you have a particular position/mount in mind, we suggest providing photos so we can do our best to achieve the desired results. You can either bring in a printed photo or email them to us.

Do you charge skinning fees?

If an animal is brought in whole, a skinning fee will apply. Animals brought in skinned out except for the head and/or feet will not incur a skinning fee. Birds and fish do not have a skinning fee.

How should I prep my animal after harvesting?

Each specimen requires different skinning techniques, so if you have any questions please call us before you go on your hunt. Birds and fish are to be left whole; if you would like meat from your bird or fish, we can remove it for you. Regardless of the animal, all specimens should be kept as cold as possible if there will be a delay in bringing it to us.

What do I need to do to get my exotic animals in from another country?

We recommend choosing a broker to handle the import of any exotic animals. We are not currently USDA certified to clear exotics. When your shipment has cleared customs, it can be shipped directly to our shop. Please contact Garret to discuss your exotic shipment.

Do you work on dogs or cats?

We have limited pet services that mainly involve the tanning of full hides and skull cleaning. We do not offer full body mounts, partial hide tanning, or full skeletal cleaning. Please call to discuss what we can and can't do for you. We do accept pet birds.

Do you do repairs?

We accept repairs on a case-by-case basis, depending on condition of the piece as well as our current workload. When we are in a busy time of year, such as fall hunting season, we may not have the time/staff to take repair work.
